This is a little ahead of schedule since I haven't received this yet. But you should know that Hammacher Schlemmer ([...]) carried this and maybe still does. They check things out and don't carry junk. But I couldn't afford to buy from them even to get their life-time guarantee which IMHO is worth a few bucks. I have been patiently following this table in a hutch for a few years.

I have noticed in some pictures that when the extra leaves are added that the line down the middle where the leaves fold is rather obvious. But at times when it matters I will use a tablecloth and even a pad if I have to. The fact that this piece of furniture actually holds its own leaves and has more space for incidentals is all that I could ask for. This will make it possible to host an occasional dinner in my small apartment and still have space in my living room for other activities at other times.
